The Department of Philosophy, conducted a webinar on the topic Talk on Indigenous Philosophy under the banner The Thinking Hat Talk-II of the talk series with Dr. Karilemla who serve as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Philosophy at Savitribai Phule Pune University as the Guest Speaker.

The paper presenter focussed on her aim to carve out a space for the multiplicity of cultural worldviews in the terms of philosophy itself. In particular she talked about her interest in those traditions i.e. indigenous/tribal philosophy overrun by the dominant traditions. In her argument she also drew primarily on Martin Heidegger’s philosophy to show that he was the first to open up a philosophically legible and respectable path beyond the monistic singularity of a single intellectual tradition from within western philosophy’s own logos, without plunging into the mire of hopeless relativism and perspectivism.

The session was moderated by Dr. Bendanginla, Assistant Professor, Department of Philosophy. The enlightening talk ended after a short disquisition. All together around fifty faculty actively participated in the webinar.
