In an endeavor to combat the stigma surrounding HIV/AIDS and educate the youth, the Red Ribbon Club (RRC) at Fazl Ali College in collaboration with the Medical Youth Fellowship MTBA organized a Community Extension Service on the theme “Peer Sensitization on HIV/AIDS.” The event aimed to raise awareness and foster understanding among younger generation.
The program, held on March 24, 2024, at the Medical Fellowship Church, was attended by RRC Nodal Officers and student members of FAC and community youth members. Yashikala Jamir, RRC Nodal officer FAC, advocated on the importance of peer education in addressing the stigma surrounding HIV/AIDS. She emphasized the pivotal role that young people can play in fostering supportive environments and to make informed decisions regarding their well-being.
Miss Sentienla Kichu chaired the program and the RRC student members actively participated at the proceedings of the event.
