Fazl Ali College bid a fond farewell to two esteemed professors, Ms. Tiarenla, Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Philosophy, and Dr. Aotemshi I, Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Mathematics, as they retired from their distinguished careers.
Principal Dr. I. Wati Imchen delivered a heartfelt speech, describing the occasion as a “day of thanksgiving.” He praised Ms. Tiarenla as a “wonderful, dedicated teacher” who had made immense contributions to the college, including drafting the first constitution of ANGCTA and pioneering the Literacy Committee.
Dr. Imchen also lauded Dr. Aotemshi I, describing him as a “gentle, spiritually person” who had dedicated his life to serving the Lord. He acknowledged Dr. Aotemshi’s decision to take voluntary retirement, sacrificing comfort for his mission.
The farewell ceremony featured speeches from colleagues, and representatives from FACTA and FACSU. Ms. Tiarenla and Dr. Aotemshi I delivered emotional farewell addresses, expressing gratitude to the college administration and urging everyone to work together with honesty, humility, and sincerity.
Special songs were presented by faculty and students, and the program concluded with a prayer of blessings by Dr. Lipokrenla Jamir, Assoc. Professor & Head department of Political Science. The program was chaired Ms. Naomi, Assoc. Professor & Head department of Botany.
