As part of the course work, the 2nd semester Honours students are taken on field work routinely by the Department.

Other activity (Extension services)

Three days of co-curricular activities for B.A 5th Semester students was conducted with the aim of making use of available local produce for creative cooking, improving self-reliability and independence.
With the help of the Authority and the Department of Sociology, Mr. Takolong Kichu, of B.A 5th semester (Honours) had presented a paper titled, “The Log Drum: Its Social Significance Among the Ao Naga Tribe of Nagaland” at the National Level Young Sociologists Competition on the theme, “ Science and Society” held on 8th December 2017, organized by the Department of Sociology, Christ University, Bengaluru.
