The Red Ribbon Club (RRC) of Fazl Ali College, Mokokchung, has successfully carried out a series of impactful awareness activities on HIV/AIDS as part of the Intensified IEC Campaign 2025. The club organized engaging play and flashmob performances across multiple locations in Mokokchung to spread vital knowledge on HIV prevention and promote awareness about the importance of testing and treatment.
The performances took place on the 14th, 17th, and 23rd of September, reaching diverse audiences at several venues, including the Medical Fellowship CEM, MTBA, Straightway Higher Secondary School, Mokokchung, Mokokchung Compound Government High School, Mokokchung Village, Mokokchung Municipal Complex, and Fazl Ali College.
The initiative, which aimed to educate the community on HIV/AIDS, was met with enthusiastic responses from the public. Students, teachers, and local residents participated actively in the event, which used creative methods like drama and flashmobs to engage and inform attendees in an accessible and entertaining manner.
These performances were part of the broader Intensified IEC (Information, Education, and Communication) Campaign 2025, which is designed to enhance awareness and empower communities to take preventive actions against HIV/AIDS. The Red Ribbon Club’s efforts continue to play a crucial role in combating the stigma surrounding the disease and promoting safer practices across Mokokchung.
