Mokokchung | 13 December: Fazl Ali College organized FAC Mélange 2025, a vibrant annual event, which was held on 11 and 12 December 2025 on the theme “Canvas of Dreams.” Celebrated as a Christmas Edition, the event aimed at promoting creativity, cultural expression, and intellectual engagement among students.
The programme commenced with an inaugural session held at the College Auditorium. The session was chaired by Sentiwala T. Imchen, Assistant Professor. The theme “Canvas of Dreams” was formally addressed by Dr. I Wati Imchen, Principal, Fazl Ali College, who highlighted the importance of nurturing dreams, creativity, and collective responsibility in shaping the future. The session also featured a special song titled “We Are the World” by the faculty of FAC.
As part of the inaugural programme, a debate on the topic “Reservation Policy in Nagaland is a Tool for Empowerment” was conducted, moderated by Temjenmerang, BA 6th Semester, recipient of the Akok Walling Debater of the Year Award 2024.
FAC Mélange 2025 featured a wide range of competitions spread across both days. Day One witnessed events such as Cosplay, Creative Writing, Extempore Speech, Solo Singing andPainting alongside the Inaugural Session, engaging participants in literary, artistic, and performing arts.
Day Two continued the celebrations with a Musical Piece Competition, Dance, Battle of Bands, and a Guest Performance by Slayers of Chordz, followed by Prize Distribution and Vote of Thanks. Each event drew enthusiastic participation, reflecting the spirit of creativity, healthy competition, and festive joy that defined FAC Mélange 2025.
In addition to the Mélange celebrations, Fazl Ali College observed the Advent Christmas Programme on 12 December in the evening marking the season with reverence and joy. ACakeCarol competition featuring students from the 2nd , 4th , and 6th semesters enriched the programme with melodious performances where the 2nd Semesters were declared the winner. Dr. Lanu Walling shared a reflective message emphasizing the spiritual significance of Advent. The session concluded with a benediction through mass prayer.
The informal session featured special presentations by the Music Club, Principal, Chubamenla Chang, Jason Puro, campus children, and the FAC Band, fostering fellowship and festive cheer. The programme concluded with light refreshments, as the college community came together to share in the joy and spirit of the Advent season.
